A DUR Mediehus project
En Megafon
For Folket
Young people and younger adults in Drammen learn to make their own radio programs about issues that matter to them. En Megafon For Folket gives them a voice and an opportunity to be heard and make a difference in their local community.
How the project worksAbout the project
From listener to producer
En Megafon For Folket is a project of the DUR Mediehus nonprofit association, carried out with the Drammen Unlimited Radio platform. Young participants get practical training in journalism, interviewing, microphone technique and media production.
With guidance and support from DUR Mediehus, participants choose their own topics, find guests and make relevant programs for broadcast on Drammen Unlimited Radio. The aim is to help them shape conversations about life in Drammen and experience that their perspectives matter. Through practical experience, responsibility and collaboration, we aim to help develop tomorrow’s local journalists and leaders.
Project model
Participants make their own programs
Build an editorial team
The plan is for two groups with two to three participants in each. Participants plan programs, share tasks and choose their own topics and guests.
Share the stories
The completed programs are broadcast on Drammen Unlimited Radio. Broadcast times and publication in Station Archives are arranged for each program.
The project is up and running. Contact DUR Mediehus for information about taking part.
Who is it for?
Room for more perspectives
The project is for young people and younger adults in Drammen, with particular attention to young people from immigrant backgrounds and other minority groups. Parents, schools, volunteers and prevention services are important potential partners.
Participants get hands-on production experience and help highlight people and solutions in their local community.
